Piano Scholarships are available, the selection is based on qualification. High school seniors, college transfer students and current University of Arkansas students who plan to pursue full time studies in the Department of Music leading to a degree in music are eligible to apply.

Applicants must have a completed Music Scholarship Application form on file in the Department of Music.

The out-of-state tuition waiver or Non-Resident Tuition Award is in most cases prerequisite for a full undergraduate scholarship.

For the Non-Resident Tuition Award, new incoming freshmen students must have all of the following:

·        3.5 cumulative High School GPA (calculated to Arkansas State Standards)
·        ACT 25 or SAT of 1130 (combined math and critical reasoning)
·        Be from one of the following states: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, or Oklahoma

Academic Non-Resident Tuition Award (for transfer students), students must have all of the following:

·        3.0 cumulative GPA from their home institution
·        24 transferable hours
·        Be from one of the eligible states listed above

The full undergraduate scholarship award of the McAllister Piano Performance Program is based on excellent (i.e. nationally competitive) abilities in both, piano performance and academic study.
